Morson Projects were appointed by Bombardier to provide Structural Design & Analysis, Project & Programme Management and Systems Engineering & Integration support for a CS100 Mid-Fuselage upgrade.
OUR SOLUTION
Working closely with the Bombardier team, our experts carried out a wide range of tasks including:
- Carrying out static and durability analysis of all structure in Mid Fuselage
- Compiling and checking of certification stress reports
- Developing and agreeing stress methodologies with the customer, for mitigation of negative margins that arose at analysis stage
- Generating analysis tools to incorporate allowable damage of all Mid Fuselage structure
- Generating Visual Basic and PCL scripts to automate DFEM loads extraction and stress analysis
- Updating analysis tools to incorporate certification loads and frozen DMU section properties
- Validating analysis tools and templates provided by Bombardier
