Morson Projects’ were appointed by Bombardier to support them with the Structural Design and Analysis for CS100 & CS300 Fixed Trailing Edge.
Our Solution
Our team were responsible for the technical design, analysis and project management of the project which included:
- Compilation of standard analysis tools and templates, agreed with the customer
- Definition of detailed finite element modelling (DFEM) strategy for FTE structure
- DFEM construction, analysis and validation of entire FTE
- Development of Hypermesh scripts to automate FEM fastener creation
- Generation of Visual Basic and PCL scripts to automate DFEM loads extraction and stress analysis
- Generation of complex non-linear ABAQUS sub-models to capture localised yielding and load redistribution
- Compilation and checking of certification stress reports
