Throughout 2024, we welcomed 36 work experience students across an impressive 46 full weeks, spanning both secondary and higher education. This initiative has allowed students to immerse themselves in the real-world engineering environment of Morson Projects, gaining first-hand experience and insights into what a career in the industry may involve.
Jon Callahan, Morson Projects STEM Lead, shared:
“2024 has been a record year for Morson Project’s intake of work experience students. A huge well done to everyone involved and a huge thank you to Simon Plimbley, who has single-handedly coordinated the entire 2024 intake with great dedication!
“Simon has reinvigorated the program and personally welcomed every student who’s walked through the door at our Manchester office. In contrast to 2023 where we hosted 10 students over 16 weeks, this year’s intake has been nothing short of extraordinary. We are heading into 2025 fully motivated to exceed this target and continue to nurture future engineering talent.”
Simon Plimbley, Head of Engineering Delivery, added:
“It was a fantastic year across the business, welcoming young engineers from all parts of the UK. With the extended team, we have shown what Morson Projects can offer to students considering a future in the engineering industry.
“The support from the different offices has helped to make 2024 a stand out year and I would like to thank all those involved that made it happen.”
Our work experience program has not only thrived at our Manchester Head Office but has also expanded across all of our UK locations, with success stories across Belfast and Bristol too.
This success wouldn’t be possible without the commitment of our dedicated STEM ambassadors and colleagues, who have generously given their time to support a range of work experience students.
At Morson Projects, we believe in fostering talent and are excited about the future that these young individuals will help shape.
