During their time with us, the students were introduced to the diverse range of work carried out by Morson Projects, as well as the broader Morson Group. The team engaged them in a variety of activities, providing valuable insights into the engineering industry.
The students participated in talks covering key areas such as structural design, analysis and certification processes, systems design, and software, as well as a simple design task to get hands-on experience.
One of the highlights of the placement was a special tour facilitated by Spirit AeroSystems, one of Morson Projects’ long-standing customers. The students had the chance to visit the A220 Wing Production Unit in Belfast, witnessing first-hand the impressive scale of the operation. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, especially for the Morson Projects team who have been supporting the engineering efforts behind this remarkable aircraft for over a decade.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Morson Projects team members who made this experience possible: Baskaran Nagavel, David Deans, Dean Ellison, Gareth McAllister, Gordon Murphy, Jason O’Hagan, Jon Callahan, Karthikeyan Gopalakrishnan, and Mary Beattie. Your commitment to supporting the next generation of engineers and sharing your expertise is truly appreciated!
At Morson Projects, we’re proud to be able to offer these opportunities and help inspire the engineers of tomorrow. We look forward to continuing our efforts to support education and foster talent in the industry.
