Project Controller, Katie Zalel, Lead Design Engineer, Rick Ayre and Engineering Apprentice, Max Matyjasik from our Bristol office had the privilege of meeting young minds eager to explore the world of engineering.

Katie shared:

“We spent a really interesting morning at the Careers Fair. The students, aged between 14 and 18, asked a lot of insightful questions about our industry, the qualifications needed to become Aerospace engineers, and whether it’s a lucrative career path.”

“The event was also an excellent opportunity for Max, our newest apprentice, to reflect on his journey from school to Morson Projects. Max was able to share his personal experience with the students, offering valuable advice on subjects, courses, and career routes in engineering.”

Rick (pictured left) also highlighted an important takeaway from the event:

“It was great to see some young people with a genuine interest in engineering, but it was also clear that very few of them really understood what engineering was. This really underscores the importance of us attending these types of events to raise awareness and spark interest in the industry. It was great to be able to share an insight into the world of engineering with them, and hopefully inspire them to look into the subject further.”

At Morson Projects, we are passionate about nurturing the next generation of engineers and professionals. We’re proud to have been able to share our knowledge and experiences with these students, and we look forward to continuing to inspire and guide future talent into the world of engineering.
