John, his wife Paula, and a few other members of the Cadishead Public Band have been doing so every year for the past ten years. The full band will be out on parade for Remembrance Sunday.
John shared:
“I have been in Cadishead Public Band, a registered charity, since I was eight and on the hot seat of principal cornet from the age of 21.
“Being part of the band and being able to get involved in parades such as the Armistice Parade gives me such great pride and is something I just love to do”.
For those local to Irlam and Cadishead, the parade will start at 10am from the Catholic Club on Liverpool Road, marching down to the cenotaph on Irlam park for the Service of Remembrance at 11am. Several thousands of people turn out for this event yearly, it is one of the largest processions in the country.”
John will also be joined by some members of the band to play a selection of Christmas tunes at the Morson Group Headquarters, Adamson House on Thursday 23rd December, to bring some Christmas cheer to the team before the Christmas break.
