Vincent shared:
“What a wonderful experience taking part in the Humber Bridge Sportive. It was great to be able to do the cycle ride with my 2 sons Jordan & Billy. Fortunately, the weather was perfect for the day.
“Our group of 40 riders from my local rugby club Hullensians were riding under the name of “Phil’s Pedal Party” which was set up by my school friend Phil who had a Brain Tumour over 2 years ago. Since then, rather than accept his condition Phil has worked really hard with his wife Julie to raise awareness and cash for P.A.U.L FOR BRAIN RECOVERY and Brain Tumour Research.
“The day was rounded off at the Rugby Club with a BBQ and live local band entertaining the crowd. We held a raffle and tombola too, which raised even more cash for the charities.
“Thank you to Morson Projects for helping to sponsor the cycling jerseys they really did look amazing and thank you to those who have sponsored Jordan and myself, we really do appreciate it.”
Jordan shares:
“It was a great day riding with so many people raising money for so many wonderful charities. The organisers of the Humber Bridge Sportive did a fantastic job.
“As my dad has said, Phil’s Pedal Party is close to our hearts. Phil has worked tirelessly to raise funds and awareness to support Brain Tumour Research and it was an honour to play a small part in that. Although I do wish I had done more training beforehand.
“Thank you again to Morson Projects for generously sponsoring the riding jerseys and thank you to all of those who have donated.“
The group’s efforts have contributed to an impressive fundraising total of £9,885, if you would like to help the hit their target of £15,000 please make a donation here >
