Please join us in wishing a huge congratulations to Andy Hassall and Team Morson for their incredible efforts at this year’s Great Manchester Run 10K, raising over £3,000 for Prostate Cancer UK and Destination Florida!
Andy was joined by colleagues from across the group, including Andy Slater, Karen Bradley, Simon Plimbley, Hannah Fendall and Sophie Williams.
True to his word, Andy took on the challenge dressed head-to-toe in the full Buzzbee mascot suit, after pledging to do so at the Destination Florida Summer Ball. Despite soaring temperatures and the gruelling heat of the costume, he powered through the course with determination, good humour and a whole lot of heart.
Andy shared:
“I’m not going to lie, it was one of the toughest things I have ever done… The suit was uncomfortable to run in and don’t even mention the heat! But the true Manchester spirit got me through it!
“The support was amazing, thank you so much to everyone who has supported and sponsored us, it made it all worth it. Well done to everyone who took part, a fantastic day as always.”
And what a difference those steps have made. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who has donated, Team Morson smashed their fundraising goal, currently totalling £3,400 of the original £3,000 target, with every pound going toward groundbreaking research through Prostate Cancer UK, and magical, life-changing experiences for seriously ill children via Destination Florida.
